Protect a gallery with a PIN
Updated July 8, 2026
Not every gallery should be open to anyone with the link. A PIN adds a lock screen: guests see a prompt and must enter the PIN before any photos show.
Turn on the gallery PIN
In the gallery's settings, turn on the option to require a PIN before guests can see the gallery. Set a PIN and save. From then on, guests who open the link see a lock screen and enter the PIN before any photos show.
Share the PIN only with the people who should have access — alongside the gallery link, or separately if you want an extra layer.
A gallery PIN controls who can view the gallery. If you want people to browse freely but still protect your full-resolution files, use a download PIN instead — see Control photo downloads.
Changing or removing the PIN
You can change the PIN at any time in the same settings. Changing it means anyone who had the old PIN will need the new one. Turning the PIN off makes the gallery viewable by anyone with the link again.
