Getting started with Shotfolio
Updated July 8, 2026
Shotfolio is a toolkit for student, emerging, and independent photographers. It hosts your client photo galleries, takes session bookings, and collects client intake questionnaires — all from one dashboard, with no company account or contract required.
This guide is the fast path from sign-up to a gallery your clients can actually open.
What you get
- Client galleries — upload edited photos and share them as a single link or QR code.
- Guest face search — guests take a selfie and instantly see just their photos, with no app and no login.
- Bookings — a page where clients pick a session type and time.
- Questionnaires — intake forms so you have what you need before the shoot.
Shotfolio uses your existing Google or Microsoft account — there's no separate password to create. Head to the sign-in page, choose your provider, and you'll land on your dashboard.
Your first three steps
- Upload a gallery. Drag your edited photos into a new collection. Previews and social crops generate automatically. See Upload your first gallery.
- Share it. Every gallery has a short link and a QR code. Print it, project it, or text it to the group. See Share a gallery with a QR code or link.
- Let guests find themselves. Turn on face search so each guest sees only their own photos. See Let guests find their photos with a selfie.
New to all of this? You don't have to set everything up at once. Start with one gallery, share it, and add bookings or questionnaires later when you need them.
